years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Animals Asia's moon bear rescue centre is not open to the public. However, to accommodate the many requests for visits, we hold open day tours for our supporters twice a month. Visitors are guided around the sanctuary by staff members.
As places are limited, open day visits are reserved for active Animals Asia donors only with a minimum donation of US$50 or equivalent, as it is their generosity that helps us continue our campaign to end bear bile farming and maintain the centre, caring for rescued bears for the remainder of their lives.
These open day tours are limited to four groups of 20 people per day: two in the morning at 9.30am and two in the afternoon at 2.00pm. The tour lasts about 1-1.5 hours. Please note that only the 9.30am morning tour is conducted in English, all other tours are in Mandarin.
If you would like to become a donor, please click here to add your contribution to the rescue centre's upkeep. As a donor you will receive regular updates on the centre and the progress of the rescue, as well as information on our other projects and inside stories on our bears!
