The future of animal welfare in Vietnam

There’s a quiet revolution happening at Animals Asia’s sanctuaries in Vietnam – and it’s powered by local talent.

After years of collaboration, training and trust-building, the day-to-day care of our rescued moon bears is now increasingly led by our skilled Vietnamese team. And they’re doing an extraordinary job.

From bear care to veterinary work, these compassionate professionals are meeting and exceeding global standards. Behind the scenes, our Veterinary and Behavioural Husbandry Services (VBHS) team continues to provide expert support, from regular welfare checks to mentoring and emergency consultations.

They ensure that every rescued bear gets the gold-standard care they deserve.
