Celebrities unite to help Free the Final Bears in Vietnam
Well-known supporters have rallied behind Animals Asia’s mission to free the last bears still trapped on bile farms in Vietnam – proudly wearing the Free the Final Bears campaign T-shirt and sharing their messages of hope with hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
TV presenters Michaela Strachan and Kirsty Gallacher, wildlife artist Sophie Green, author and producer Jane Fallon, and actors Peter Egan, Jimmi Simpson, and Lesley Nicol have all stepped forward to shine a light on this critical final stage of our 25-year campaign.
Their compassion – and their willingness to use their platforms for good – is helping bring global attention to the 150 bears who still need us.
'Years ago, I filmed a piece for The Really Wild Show about the bear bile industry. It was one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever filmed – bears farmed in tiny cages to extract their bile for medicine.
Today is World Kindness Day. Kind people don’t let this sort of torture continue. Animals Asia have helped to get the practice banned in Vietnam. Now let’s #FreeTheFinalBears and move the last 150 bears to their sanctuaries for lifelong care. Join the rescue – buy a Be Free tee from Animals Asia.'
This groundswell of celebrity support is part of a rising global movement urging us forward as we work with the Vietnamese government to bring the final bears home. Their posts, shirts, and solidarity are inspiring thousands to learn, share, and act – proving once again that kindness is a powerful catalyst for change.
