Kimberly Neufeld
A Kansas City native, Kimberly has a lifelong love for animals that began as a child. Her first philanthropic experience was discovering a no-kill rescue group, Second Chance Pet Adoptions. She went on to foster feline leukemia-positive cats and provided webmaster assistance with Forever Friends Animal League. She was also an inaugural board member for what is now known as Great Plains SPCA and participated in Trap, Neuter, and Release (TNR) clinics towards the goal of eliminating pet overpopulation.
In the early 2000s, she heard Jill Robinson speak at a No More Homeless Pets Conference in St. Louis and was moved to tears as she spoke of bear bile farming. This inspired her lifelong commitment to Animals Asia. In 2018 she visited the Rescue Centre in Chengdu, China where she and others were lucky enough to meet the wonderful staff, volunteers, rescue bears, and other resident animals.
Kimberly has 29 years of experience in the financial services industry trading stocks, bonds, and other securities as a Senior Trader for a large investment firm. She holds a business and communications degree from Bethel College and an MBA from Rockhurst University. Additionally, she’s hosted events for Arts in Prison and has spoken publicly to eliminate breed-specific legislation, also known as pit bull bans.
