Korean travel agents take China's bear bile farms off the itinerary

While the dog meetings were going full pelt in South Korea, we were also involved in a press conference in Seoul following months of work and preparation by Toby and our End Bear Bile Farming team.
The conference was in tandem with travel agents in Korea who were pledging never to take Korean tourists to bear farms in China when they go on tour.
Toby spoke about the farms that frequently saw Korean tourists illegally buying bear bile, and emphasised that tourists were buying what was simply contaminated infected "tonics" full of pus. We also promoted China as a beautiful country to visit, asking tourists to play a compassionate role and by-pass the farms.
Three major tour agencies signed on and spoke to the Korean media about the pledge of their tour buses never visiting the farms, and the media covered the story the next day.
