Across Asia, countless cats and dogs suffer due to neglect, injury, abandonment, and exploitation. Many are left to roam busy streets, vulnerable to disease and danger. Others are caught and sold into the brutal meat trade.
Animals Asia is working with governments, shelters and communities to improve animal welfare, enforce existing laws, and change attitudes through education. Together, we’re creating a more compassionate, safer world where cats and dogs are respected and protected.
Since 2004, our Cat and Dog Welfare program has been improving the lives of companion animals through public education, grassroots empowerment, and government collaboration in China – and we’re now leading a campaign to end the dog meat trade in Vietnam.
Our work is based on compassion, community and long-term change. We believe that true progress happens when local people are empowered to be part of the solution. We listen, we collaborate and we support – always with the goal of creating lasting, systemic change.
