Animals Asia is devoted to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia. We’ve been rescuing bears from lives of cruelty and giving them the safety and care they deserve for over 25 years. 

Through our sanctuaries, education and policy change, we’re building a kinder world for all animals.

The most broken bear we've met

For 20 years, Dawn was trapped in a barren cage on a bear bile farm. Starved, scared and alone, she had lost her freedom, her trust, even her fur.

She showed signs of ‘learned helplessness’ – we feared we’d never get through to her.

But slowly, Dawn began to heal...
