Snow Bear

There is really no such thing as a “typical” rescue. But what our rescue crew found when they arrived to rescue Snow and his friends, shocked even them. And it’s why I’m turning to you now

Snow was different from the others… too quiet. Too still. Something was wrong.

Under careful sedation, his battered body told his heartbreaking story. A damaged eye. Open wounds. And claws which had grown so long they pierced through his paws, right down to the bone. He couldn’t even move without agony.

But even for a bile bear, Snow had suffered even beyond what we might call ‘usual’ suffering...

For 10 years, Snow hadn’t just been exploited for bile. At some point he’d lost almost his entire tongue!

We'll never know how it happened, but we do know that he was left to suffer alone in a pit, no pain relief, no help coming. Nobody even noticed. Much less care.
