Two more bears rescued in Survival Rescue named in memory of those lost in recent Vietnam floods

Yesterday two more bears were rescued by Animals Asia and brought to our sanctuary in Tam Dao National Park. Named Storm and Torrent in tribute to those in Vietnam affected by devastating floods.

One bear closer to ending bear bile farming in Vietnam

Animals Asia has moved one bear closer to its goal of ending bear bile farming in Vietnam, with the rescue of a bear from the district of Phúc Thọ on Thursday.

Lucky families won radio competition to be the first open-day visitors to our China sanctuary since the coronavirus outbreak

11 families recently visited Animals Asia’s bear sanctuary in Chengdu, China where they got a chance to see the bears and take part in a bear-themed art workshop! They won the chance to visit the bears following a competition on Sichuan Traffic Radio.

Staff at our Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre perform the first ‘in-house’ root canal surgery on a resident bear!

Following training from dental specialist Dr Cedric Tutt, Senior Vet Surgeon Shaun Thomson performed the first 'in-house' root canal surgery at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre. Bear Rae’s tooth has been filled and now she is loving life (and lunch) again!

Vietnam goes Vegan! Schoolchildren learn to cook plant-based food in exciting project from Animals Asia

Earlier this year, an innovative project was launched in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to promote the benefits of a plant-based diet to local schoolchildren and residents, by encouraging them to “eat vegan with the bears!”
