OUR MISSION
To end the farming of bears for bile in Vietnam, work with the Chinese authorities to protect bears and provide sanctuaries for the life-long care of rescued bears in China and Vietnam. To end the suffering of wild animals in captivity, and ensure humane treatment of cats and dogs across Asia.

One thing's for sure, gentle George knows how to relax! Wheather he's snoring away in his nest or lounging around, leg in the air, on his climbing frame - George has mastered the art of relaxation!

But George didn't always have it so good. He was rescued with 28 other bears from shocking conditions on a Chinese bear bile farm in 2008. It was one of the worst farms we have ever encountered and George was one of the few lucky survivors.

An all round "Mr Nice Guy", gentle George is an easy-going and friendly bear, who likes to sit on his bottom and watch the world go by like a serene Buddha.
