Help protect elephants today

Elephant in chains looking at camera

Your donation today could help give elephants the life they were always denied.

Right now, there are elephants suffering a long life of abuse and neglect, all in the name of tourism.

Elephant riding is still common at tourist hotspots In Vietnam. But behind every ride is a lifetime of cruelty.

Elephants are taken young, broken into submission so they fear humans and kept in chains for decades. They’re robbed of the chance to roam, play or be social. Forced to carry tourists on their backs day after day in the heat. When not carrying tourists, they’re simply left chained, no food, no water, no enrichment.

A gift from you could change that, for good.

Elephant with sadle and man on his back

This was the life of Y’Door, Y’Ghen and Bun Kohn.

When our rescue team first saw them, all three elephants were showing signs of deep distress, the kind of behaviour elephants only develop after years of stress and confinement.

Y’Door, 44, had both his tusks cut short so they could be sold. His tail is scarred and stripped of hair.

Y’Ghen, 53, is missing his right tusk, likely also sold for profit.

Bun Kohn, 43, has a hole torn through her left ear from where a rope was forced through.

Every scar tells the same story: a life spent suffering, not living.

Elephant with saddle on back looking sad

But thanks to supporters like you, Y’Door, Y’Ghen and Bun Kohn were rescued.

For the first time in decades, they can roam freely in the forest. For the first time they can bathe in mud, forage and choose their own company. No saddles. No rides. No chains.

Two elephants roaming free in forest

It will take time for them to unlearn a lifetime of fear. But every day at our ethical elephant sanctuary, they take another step towards the life they should always have had.

It’s because of donors like you that Y’Door, Y’Ghen and Bun Kohn made it out.

Thanks to animal champions like you, they now live peacefully. Supported and cared for by their mahouts, they are free to roam, while tourists observe them in their natural habitat from a respectful distance.

There are still more elephants out there, waiting for their chance. Will you help them?

Your generosity could help another elephant find freedom and end the practice of elephant riding.
