After breaking ground on our new bear sanctuary in Vietnam, we’re thrilled to bring you the first pictures and updates on progress… and what a transformation it is already!
We are saddened to share the news that we have had to say goodbye to an extraordinary bear, our beautiful big old Derek.
Animals Asia’s founder and CEO Jill Robinson joined rock legend Rick Wakeman and a host of Animals Asia’s ambassadors and supporters for a glittering event to raise funds for our new bear sanctuary.
In the first quarter of 2023 Animals Asia has supported 21 seizures of animals in illegal wildlife trafficking operations in Indonesia, leading to the rescue and release of thousands of wild songbirds.
As the sun is setting on the bear bile industry in Vietnam, Animals Asia has rescued another bear from the cruel bile farming industry. Named Sunset, she will join Dawn and five other bears already in quarantine as she prepares for her new life at our world-class sanctuary in Tam Dao National Park.
In February 2023 Animals Asia rescued five moon bears from a notorious bile farming hotspot in Vietnam. They were all traumatised, but Dawn was completely shut down. This is Dawn’s story, and the story of how we will do all we can to help her heal from her past.
Thanks to fantastic Animals Asia supporters the organisation’s animation “No Bear Left Behind” has won a prestigious Charity Film Award.
