You’ve seen the world of difference your kindness and compassion make. But for many bears still trapped on bile farms across Vietnam, the journey to healing has yet to begin.

Many bears, like Smokey, pictured, have suffered in tiny cages for over 20 years. When they’re finally rescued, they arrive broken and scarred – physically and emotionally. Their road to recovery is long and requires expert care for the rest of their lives. 

Smokey is the eighth bear we’ve rescued this year. Thanks to the generous support of animal champions like you, we’re getting ever closer to ending the outdated practice of bile farming in Vietnam. But there are still many more bears stuck in tiny rusting cages, hanging on for dear life.
