Types of gift

There are lots of different ways to include us in your will:

1. A residuary gift — All, or a percentage of, your estate after all other costs, debts and bequests have been deducted. The advantage of this type of giving is that as your assets grow, your gift to Animals Asia keeps pace.

2. A pecuniary gift — A specific sum of money, which stays the same regardless of inflation.

3. A specific gift - Such as a house, or shares.

To remember Animals Asia in your will, please pass this sample wording onto your solicitor:

I give to Animals Asia Foundation Limited, Suite 1501, Tung Hip Commercial Building, 244-252 Des Voeux Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, charity registration no: 642411 *____________ to be used for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the secretary, treasurer or other officers of Animals Asia Foundation Limited shall be a full and sufficient discharge of the said legacy.

1. The whole (or ...%) of the residue of my estate.
2. The sum of $(amount).
3. [Details of a particular asset/specific gift]

Policy giving

Another way you can remember Animals Asia is by naming us as a beneficiary in your life insurance policy, either with a percentage of the insurance policy or for the full amount of the policy. (e.g. 75 per cent to a family member, 25 per cent to Animals Asia Foundation).
