Hundreds of bears spend their lives miserable, in pain and afraid.  

These beautiful, wild animals barely have space to move – they spend years, even decades stuck there. But you can change this. 

Your gift could help bears like Smokey, who was raised in captivity since he was a tiny cub. He is now 20 years old and spent his years living inside a cramped cage. 

Beautiful Smokey had never known freedom, he was captured as a baby and kept as a pet. He had been caged in the back of a warehouse.

When we found him, he was living in a dark, concrete-floored cage, swaying back and forth behind the bars that kept him trapped. 

Thanks to people like you, we were able to give Smokey a new future.

Today, Smokey is looking forward to a new life, where he will walk on grass, seek out food and play in beautiful enclosures.
