Moon bears Armstrong and Buzz spent over two decades trapped in tiny cages. 

Every day was filled with pain, fear, and loneliness. They could only dream of what freedom might feel like.

When rescuers reached Armstrong and Buzz, it was clear just by looking at them that they’d been neglected and abused. They had thick overgrown nails, tartar-covered teeth and old wounds on their faces and bodies.

Buzz had the most visible injuries. She had hardened scarring across her head from where she furiously rubbed against the cage bars in desperation. Her fur was sparse from poor nutrition. Her paws and bottom were hardened and dry from resting on nothing but hard metal bars for decades.

But everything changed when they were rescued.

Now, these bears are healing and living the life they deserve – tearing open Christmas presents, splashing in pools, and feeling the joy of love and care.
