Salary: Circa £28,000 - £32,000p.a.

Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a growing, energetic and creative charity team while utilising your management and fundraising skills and benefiting animal welfare?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Major Donor/Corporate Fundraiser to join Animals Asia — a growing animal welfare charity — to play a vital role in developing our fundraising potential to enable us to deliver our unique programmes on the ground in China and Vietnam. 

The role focuses on generating the funds that support our programmes being delivered in China and Vietnam, namely End Bear Bile Farming, Cat and Dog Welfare and Zoos and Safari Parks. The successful candidate will have an integral part to play in achieving the UK’s income targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the growth and development of Animals Asia by identifying and securing new income from Major Donors, Corporates and Trust and Foundations. The successful candidate will research, identify and prioritise projects within these three areas that will generate the best financial return and will manage the development of supporter relations and initiatives in these sectors.

Ideally you will have 2-5 years’ experience in generating funds from these three sectors and a track record in meeting and exceeding organizational fundraising targets. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent inter-personal and presentation skills. You will be experienced in developing and sustaining donor relationships. The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of this post.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experienced at developing and securing large partnerships with corporates and trusts.
  • Experienced at identifying  and securing income through major donors.
  • Have at least 3 years in a New Business Manager, Fundraising Role or similar.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication.

As Fundraising Development Manager you will have a strong, demonstrable track record of winning high value new business through your own initiative, as well as well-developed networking, negotiation and influencing skills.

This is a home-based role so interested candidates must live in or close to London and have the flexibility to work as required.

As part of a small team you will be expected to support colleagues and help out at other team events outside of your immediate fundraising development manager role.
