years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Professor Paws has also caught the eye of HK I-Cable TV. One of our dedicated therapy dogs ‘Cha Cha’ will be featured on the TV show related to dogs and pet care in Hong Kong. Cha Cha was filmed with his guardian Helen Pong during one of our visits at CCC Heep Who Primary School teaching the children the safe way to approach a dog, feed, brush and walk our companions.
As many of your may already know, Cha Cha is a notorious ‘Lap dog’, meaning once he sees an opportunity to sit on your lap, don’t be surprised if you find all 70lbs of him on you! The students all had an opportunity to have Cha Cha on their lap which provided many hugging opportunities.
The programme aims to show a day in the life of Cha Cha, which will include where he goes to work as a Dr Dog and Professor Paws, his daily walks, meals and playtime with fellow canine companions.
With the help of Helen Pong, the programme will demonstrate exactly how much commitment and responsibility it is to look after a dog, but also how much love and happiness they contribute to not only our households but also to the community.
