years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
December 2011: Special thanks go out to several groups of wonderful supporters who got into the festive spirit to raise funds for the animals this holiday season. From coast-to-coast, Animals Asia supporters wrapped books at Borders and Barnes and Noble stores in order to raise “Honey Money,” aka tips, for the bears!
Evelyn Kimber and the Boston Vegetarian Society kicked off the fun with four full days of wrapping in November and December. Next, the San Diego Support Group, led by Lisa Vondle, picked up the torch for the sixth year in a row and wrapped over the course of five days in December and then the Marin (California) Support Group tied up the season with a gift wrap the weekend before Christmas.
Together, these wonderful teams of volunteers raised over $1200. All that Honey Money made for a very sweet holiday for our lovely bears.
