years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
When Jill and Anneleise visited Beijing City International School in March 2006 to give presentations they were greeted by a wonderful sight on arrival - a whole wall covered with free Moon Bears!
A creative group of students had decided to spread awareness about the China Bear Rescue by making little paper Moon Bears which could be bought for 5 RMB each and added to the beautiful mural of bear paradise. Even parents joined in to help rescue these little bears from their tiny cage and an amazing 300 paper Moon Bears were set free!
In total, the students at BCIS were able to donate 2256 RMB of "Honey Money" to Jill and are already dreaming up new ways to raise more!
