years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
The sun came out to welcome our supporters - two legged and four - taking part in our annual Wimbledon Common Walk for Freedom on 12 September 2009.
Despite London Transport maintenance work that saw three major tube lines out of action, this year, over forty people came along to show their support for the suffering moon bears, cats and dogs in Asia. And, although this walk is 2.5 mile with a 5 mile option, the majority decided to walk the full 5 miles ...
Thanks to our stalwart London supporters Nilla, Wendy, Neil, Barbara, Marianne, Giles, Sally, Gabriel and John the day was a great success, raising over £1300 on the day with a further £2300 plus to come over the next few weeks.
Since the first walk on Wimbledon Common began in 2004, with your help we have now raised over £29,000 for our work!
