years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Hundreds of dogs and their human companions headed down to George's Heights to sample Simon Bryant's hand-made lentil burgers, get their photo taken with Santa Paws, have their faces painted, eat, drink and raise funds for Animals Asia.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a successful day including Tors Graham, Tamsin Steel and Dr James Ross from The Barracks Vet Clinic and the great team from the International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) - Kayla, Samantha, Melinda, Vicki, Madeline, Alicia, Di and Lucy - who took care of every tiny detail to ensure the day went so smoothly.
Bear hugs also go to our favourite Chef Simon Bryant for flying up from Adelaide for the day to spend four hours behind a sizzling BBQ, to Bronwyn Liebke from Pet Clix Animal Photography (link to www.petclix.com.au) for coordinating Santa Paws, to Mark Day from Koltz Wine and the many others who pitched in and helped out. We can't wait to do it all again in 2011!
