Ray Zhu, Animals Asia’s US End Bear Farming Campaign Coordinator was born and raised in the Sichuan province of China. Though now based in our San Francisco, CA office, Ray’s journey with Animals Asia began in China where he led the organization’s national PR and education efforts.
Ray recently received his nonprofit MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu in Hawaii. While there, he contributed crucial evidence to the passage of a law to ban the use and possession of bear bile and gallbladders within the state.
Ray states that he has seen some, “[T]ruly amazing changes” for the animals through the years he has spent working with Animals Asia and that he hopes, “My effort can lead to some fundamental change….”
