years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).

Dr Dog Fund Day and awards ceremony: Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China
On 14 November 2010, in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, Animals Asia presented awards to nine winners of the photo contest “Sharing Love with Them” for their responsible ownership and for rescuing stray dogs and cats.
One special winner was “Duo Duo”, a poodle who was rescued by volunteers from a dog-meat restaurant. This lovely dog is now a Dr Dog helping humans in need.
We also gave awards to four special volunteer “Dr Dogs”, who have brought much laughter and happiness to seniors and special children over the past year. The special children were thrilled to have the chance to give the awards to their best friends.
To thank our Dr Dogs, two of the children played heartwarming tunes on an electronic organ.
After the award ceremony, we kicked off our Dr Dog Fun Day; more than 60 special kids from Shenzhen joined the event, playing games with 11 Animals Asia Dr Dogs and more than 80 volunteers from Zhulin High School, Xi’an volunteer Association, and Shenzhen Dog Protection Association.
The games taught the children how to care for animals as well as being a lot of fun!
