The plan by Bord na gCon, (Irish Greyhound Board - IGB) to help develop greyhound racing in China, faces continuing opposition, not just from animal welfare groups and individuals worldwide, but also from a huge number of people in Ireland.
This Sunday, 19 June 2011 sees "Walk for Greyhounds" in St. Stephen's Green in Dublin. People and dogs will gather to show their support for the Greyhound Rescue Association of Ireland in its opposition to the IGB plans.
Please join this walk if you can – previous action has seen plans to export greyhounds from Ireland to China for the racing industry fail magnificently, but it is vital that the pressure continues, to discourage the IGB from developing greyhound racing in China.
