In May 2005, Rachel Shelton had the privilege of visiting Caningeraba State Primary School on the Queensland Gold Coast where she met some very enthusiastic young students. A very motivated 7th grader, Jessica Green, has been busy fundraising for the Animals Asia Foundation and raising awareness of the plight of Moon Bears throughout her school.
Independently, Jessica has managed to raise $510 for the Animals Asia Foundation. In addition, the school, with Jessica's encouragement, raised another $700. In total, Animals Asia Foundation have received an admirable $1,210 from Jessica and Caningeraba State Primary School.
With the encouragement of Bev and Chris from the Queensland Animals Asia support group, Rachel had the opportunity to deliver a presentation to the children in grades 4 to 7. She was blown away by their passion and genuine interest in the cause.
