years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
A series of presentations by Jill at Taipei American School in Taiwan saw overwhelming support from the staff and students for Animals Asia's goal of ending bear farming in China. The students and their inspirational teachers, led by Gloria Cristelli, were bursting with imagination and ideas for spreading the word of the China Bear Rescue – and began holding sponsored fundraising events, made plans for building a scale model of the Sanctuary out of recyclable materials on site at their school and also designed plaques to hang on the walls of the real bear dens in Chengdu!
Their passion and enthusiasm for helping the bears was inspiring and obviously effective and, before we knew it, they had presented us with a marvelous donation of US$10,500 towards the bears' new dens! Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Taipei American School for being a bears' best friend!
