years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
We have two devoted and active Animals Asia volunteer groups in Canada for Canadians who want to get involved.
Our Toronto Volunteer Group is run by Animals Asia supporter Nina Muller and aims to encourage awareness of the plight of the moon bears while raising much needed funds to fuel our important work protecting animals throughout Asia. Recent Toronto Volunteer Group events included a festive night of music and art featuring live bands and the work of internationally renowned photographer Jo-Anne McArthur.
Animals Asia’s Southwestern Ontario Volunteer Group has generated a great deal of interest in our work by reaching out to local business people, artists, and the media. The group recently organized and hosted a very successful screening of the award-winning Animals Asia documentary “Cages of Shame,” with more exciting outreach planned for the future.
