years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Karen Mok is both a very talented movie star and singer and highly respected throughout Asia. Voted number one in the MTV Female Performer Awards - Karen's concerts are always sellouts. Animals Asia was honoured to be contacted by her and told that the plight of the bears had so moved her, that she wanted to lend her efforts to help us!
Karen has thrown herself behind the bears in so many ways: through her own generous personal donation; through being the driving force behind persuading Movado to design and produce the "Moon Bear" watch, in aid of Animals Asia. The watch is selling like hotcakes in China and Hong Kong and is resulting in fabulous donations from Movado. And not least by using her "star power" to attract media attention to the plight of the farmed bears through regular media events both up at the sanctuary and in Hong Kong.
We are deeply grateful to Karen for helping us and for blazing a trail to inspire a renewed respect for animals in China, by highlighting and supporting the work of Animals Asia!
