years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Animals Asia Australia made it to the Chinese New Year festival at Chatswood on Sydney’s North Shore on 31 Jan 2009 and brought some 'bear luck' to local residents.
Moonie was the star of the day and even the Mayor of Willoughby Council couldn’t resist! Our stall attracted hundreds of supporters and animal lovers who generously donated to our Moon Bear Rescue project or purchased some of our great merchandise.
A big “thank you” to Animals Asia supporter Cristina Corales who helped with the stall and to talented local artist Lydia Hale for offering her support on the day and beyond!
Willoughby Council Mayor Pat Reilly and Moonie celebrate Chinese New Year.
