years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
The Professor Paws year of 2009-2010 started with the usual enthusiasm in September and has since been working in full force! We have had a very busy year with visits nearly everyday, seeing our team of volunteers in schools from Chai Wan to Tuen Mun, Shau Kei Wan to Tin Shui Wai. Despite a few set backs where we unfortunately had to cancel some lessons due to illness at the schools and lack of dogs, we have still increased our numbers from last year and reached a total of 1,701 children at 21 schools this school year!
We continue to reach more children over the summer by initiating visits to children’s centres where we hope to develop new relationships and continue to grow the programme in the coming years.
Our success this year is all due to the support of our volunteers so thank you very much from all the Animals Asia team and of course from all the children – we couldn’t do it without you!
