years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Dedicated Animals Asia supporters, Clive and Chris Tonge from Coventry have been dressing up to help raise funds for our work across Asia.
Clive (bear) and Chris (dog) have been greeting travellers arriving at Birmingham NEC train station with a friendly ‘bear hug’ and a ‘waggy tail’. Between them they have helped to raise an incredible £13,000 and almost every weekend they can be found either at the NEC, collecting in the city centres of Coventry, Warwick, Rugby or Leamington, or if they have no collection planned, they are sure to be selling odds and ends for the bears at a car boot sale.
Their dedication is marvellous and we really could not achieve our goals without the help of people such as Clive and Chris.
Clive and Chris have now set up the Midland Animals Asia Support Group, so if you would like to get involved with fundraising in the Midlands please do contact them on 02476 614528 or by email at christinetonge[at]hotmail[dot]co[dot]uk
You can also find out what they're up to by taking a look at their website for details of upcoming collections.
