years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
During September and October, bears were here, there and everywhere on 14 huge billboards in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth thanks to a major outdoor media company and long-time Animals Asia supporters Ultimate Sign Installations and MetroMedia Technologies. The campaign was worth close to $60,000, but all outdoor space and the cost of production and installation was generously donated, allowing us to promote our message about bear farming in China and Vietnam to hundreds of thousands of commuters. November saw the start of a new campaign – this time with Animals Asia advertisements on the backs of buses in Sydney!
After a chance sighting of one of the Melbourne billboards, devoted Animals Asia supporters Joanna Politis and Richard Collins had a brilliant idea – to utilize an existing billboard site above Rick’s car yard in Gepps Cross, Adelaide to help Animals Asia. This huge site measures 10.5m x 6m and is impossible to miss! Thank you yet again Jo and Rick who not only donated the space but covered all costs involved with production and installation.
