Southwestern Ontario volunteer group raises awareness
Led by Colleen Burns, Animals Asia’s Southwestern Ontario volunteer group recently hosted a booth at London, Ontario’s Pawlooza festival, which celebrates dogs of all colors, shapes, and sizes.
The annual volunteer-driven event is scheduled to honor International Homeless Animals’ Day and this year offered free space to 55 animal rescue groups.
At the festival, members of our volunteer group helped to raise awareness of the plight of cats and dogs in Asia and Animals Asia’s work to help them through our Cat and Dog Welfare program. Many of the estimated 25,000 Pawlooza attendees expressed interest in helping our effort and made generous donations to Animals Asia at the booth.
