years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).

One Meter Love – Anniversary celebration and award ceremony: Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China
On 25 October 2010, One Meter Love Stray Cat Rescue Group held an award ceremony for the winners of the “Sharing love with them” online photo contest. The group also celebrated its one-year anniversary. These award winners were happy to share with us the stories of their lovely companion animals.
The volunteers did a great job sharing their knowledge of caring for animals and promoting the adoption of stray animals. And good news – two stray cats and one dog were adopted that day.
Many parents came with their children, hoping they would learn more about caring for animals; this was encouraging for all the volunteers. Kids are the hope of the future. We hope they grow up with warm hearts and a love for all animals.
