years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).

Xiamen Animal Protection Education Committee: Xiamen, Fujian Province, China
On 31 October 2010, Xiamen Animal Protection Education Committee and Animals Asia Foundation held a WAD celebration in Minghui Plaza. After the award ceremony for the “Sharing love with them” Photo Contest, one winner told attendees the story of her rescued dog, a blind Pekingese, and called on members of the public to be responsible pet owners.
Also four primary school students told us of their understanding as to why we should care for animals – they had the same feelings as human beings and shared the same planet with us.
Many volunteers joined in the wonderful musical performance and dancing, 12 children dressed up as animals (bear, tiger, panda, cat, dog…. ) and conducted a cute catwalk show.
Many people signed their names on a board, calling on the public to stop eating dogs and cats. “Dogs and cats are our friends, not food; we should stop this cruel eating habit!”
