years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
Since its launch in 2004 Professor Paws has reached over 8,900 children to date. As part of our desire to grow and develop we are going back to find some of our Pet Cadet Graduates to see what they remember. We have complied a fun test that covers a few ideas from the Professor Paws lessons, starting with the always important ‘How do you meet a dog correctly?’ The children will be asked to approach the dog and without prompting see if they remember to ask, let the dog smell the back of the hand and then they can stroke. An added bonus will certainly be if they say something nice to the dog! San Wui Society Primary School has kindly agreed to let us re-visit a group of children now in Form 5 and 6 and we will be visiting soon. We hope to have some very positive results and will let you all know the outcome in the next newsletter.
