years ago this April, Jill Robinson first walked onto a bear bile farm. On that day in April 1993, Jill could have walked away, but she chose to act and do what she could. Today, you also have a choice. If everyone reading this donated just US$20, it would pay for the care of over 150 bears at our China sanctuary for a full year. Please help us celebrate 20 years of progress. Donate US$20 today (or whatever you can afford).
4 March 2010: Early last Sunday morning, more than 100 Hong Kong supporters and their tail-wagging companions joined Animals Asia’s Walk for Harmony in Happy Valley.
While a fun event and an occasion to meet other supporters and dog lovers, this also raised thousands of dollars for projects to help suffering dogs and cats in Asia, all thanks to generous donations from participants and sponsorship from their friends and families.
Joining Jill and Eddie, our poster boy Dr Dog rescued from a meat market in Guangzhou, were over 20 of our wonderful Dr Dog and Professor Paws dogs, always at the ready to show their innate goodness and prove to the community that dogs are our friends and helpers, and deserve our respect.
The Walk for Harmony began at Happy Valley Racecourse and circuited Wong Nai Chung Road (around the racecourse) from 9.00am-11.00am.
Thank you to everybody – our Animals Asia team, volunteers and supporters – who made this a fun, enthusiastic and successful day.
