Help us celebrate Animals Asia’s 10th birthday on 8 August, 2008 – and help make life sweeter for our rescued moon bears.
We’re frequently asked by supporters what they can do to help, but often they simply don’t have much time to spare. So we’ve decided to make it really easy by creating Honey Money Days – and we’ll be launching them in our birthday month.
Currently, our most pressing need is to raise funds to rebuild our China sanctuary that was badly damaged in the Sichuan earthquake. It will cost at least US$500,000 to build five new buildings.
Any time this August or September – at a time that suits you – you can organise a Honey Money Day to help us reach our fundraising target. We’ve even set up our own honey-o-meter so you can follow the progress of our efforts online and see when we’ve reached our target!
What is a Honey Money Day?
Very simply it’s a day on which you host your own fundraising event in honour of our bears. It could be anything from a dinner party to an art auction – it’s up to you! Just think of something you and your friends and family like doing anyway and factor in a way to raise money. We’ve put together a list of suggestions for you, but the sky is the limit!
